From building site to finished in two weeks.
A half-stripped bathroom where the work had stalled. That is the situation Kerry rang us in.
What we found
A bathroom left half open. The strip-out had started and then stopped, so the substrate was exposed and nothing had been covered. The work had stalled and no crew was coming back.
That is a worse starting point than a bathroom that is still intact. In a stripped room you do not know what has been done and what has not, or whether what was done is any good. So we looked first: what is here, what has been taken out, and what can be reused.
What we did
First the substrate was assessed and put right, because everything else builds on it. Then the pipework and wiring, pressure tested before anything covered them. The falls measured rather than estimated. Then priming, the waterproof layer with sealing tape in every corner, and only then the tiles.
That is the same order as every other bathroom. The difference was at the start: working out what was already there before putting anything on top of it.
The result
From an open building site to a finished bathroom, in two weeks. That is how this one turned out. How long yours takes depends on what we find, and we do not know that until we have looked.
Our own fitters carried it out. At handover Kerry walked the room with us, and only then paid the balance.
Good service, lovely people. Always quick to reply and very professional. Really pleased with the whole crew!
