We came up through the trade.
We have worked for firms that do it badly. We have seen what disappears behind the tiles and who ends up paying for it. That is why we know exactly how it goes wrong, and how to stop it.
Nobody builds a bathroom often. For most people it happens once or twice in a lifetime. That makes it very hard to judge whether someone is doing good work, because you have nothing to compare it against. And most of what decides whether a bathroom is right disappears behind the tiles before you ever see it.
We have stood on the other side of that. We have worked for firms that ran the cheap pipework because the customer will never see the difference. That skipped the sealing tape because it is in the corner. That did not wait for the waterproof layer to cure, because waiting costs a week of programme.
None of those are accidents. They are decisions, and they get made in places you never look. We started Wrenfield because we did not want to make them any more.

The experience is in the people, not in the company.
Purchasing
Co-founder
One of us buys everything that goes into a bathroom. Pipework, adhesive, tiles, sealant, the waterproofing. Every one of those has a cheap version and a good version, and both get offered to him. Every week. Which is why he knows exactly where in a quote somebody has left the difference out.
Project management
Co-founder
The other is on the bathrooms. He follows a job from the first visit to handover and checks every stage before the next one builds on it. That is exactly where a set of separate subcontractors falls down: everyone does their own part, and nobody looks at the whole.
Between us we see the whole picture: what gets bought, and what that means on the floor. The fitters who carry it out have worked with us, and with each other, for years.
What we want to be judged on.
We look first
Everyone advertises a free no-obligation quote. But you cannot price what you have not seen. So we come out before anything goes on paper.
We do not make things up
No figures we cannot stand behind, no promises about things we do not know. If we are not sure, we say so.
A limited number of bathrooms
Quality drops the moment you take on more than you can handle. That is not a sales line, it is why we say no.
You sign it off, and only then pay the balance
The only way to prove we trust our own work. Anyone who wants it all up front has no reason left to come back.
That is how it went for Kerry →Wrenfield in numbers.
