Green herringbone against pale stone.
A deep bottle-green herringbone tile that does not fill the room but is used in panels: behind the bath, in the shower, behind the WC. Everything else is pale stone effect and the fittings are polished chrome. Emma's family bathroom has room for both a bath and a walk-in shower.

The bath sits in front of two recesses
Behind the white bath are two recesses, both lined in the green herringbone. The filler and the handset are chrome. That makes the green tile the backdrop to the bath rather than a filler for the wall.

In the shower the green is on the side wall
The shower has the green herringbone on its side wall and pale stone effect on the wall with the chrome shower set. A linear drain runs through the floor, and there is another recess set into the wall.

A curved tap and a black frame
Over the basin stands a tall curved chrome tap, with the green herringbone wall behind it and the black-framed shower screen alongside. The wall-hung WC sits against its own panel of the same tile, with warm stone effect beside it.
Two to three weeks, and we come and look first.
This bathroom was built the same way as every other one we hand over: thirteen stages from strip-out to handover, and most of them you never see again once it is finished. That is exactly where a bathroom that lasts parts company with one that starts leaking. The whole job takes two to three weeks, and we come round before anything goes on paper.
More work.
We come and look before a single tile comes off.
At your house or online, your choice. We go through all of it: the floor, the grout, the sealant, the falls, the waste. After that you know exactly what is going on and what will work in your room.
